The HOLY GRAIL OF ROCK N ROLL BAND AUTOGRAPHS!! DSG Train breakfast menu, 4 x 5.5 closed, from the Beatles June 1966 German tour, titled on the front, in German, de Liverpooler Beatles, Munchen—Essen—Hamburg 25.—26. 6. 1966.” Inside features a two-page selection of breakfast items and is signed across both pages by THE BEATLES. The Beatles’ brief tour of Germany in 1966, called the ‘Bravo Beatles Blitztournee ’ consisted of six concerts in three different cities over the course of just two days. It was their only tour of Germany, and culminated in a sort of pilgrimage—it was the first time they had returned to Hamburg since their days at The Star-Club. The DSG provided catering services for the state-run German railway called Deutsche Bundesbahn, which essentially held a monopoly over all rail transportation in the country. An especially interesting association, as the entire production relied on transport via train—the promoters arranged for 18 extra trains to deliver concert-goers to the three different venues, and the Beatles traveled in a special, luxurious train which was used by Queen Elizabeth during her visits to Germany. 12 Album cover lithographs 26.4" x 22.4", signed in plate, hand numbered, edition of 9800 all 441. With The Beatles. Beatles For Sale. Pristine condition except for fold in bottom left corner Sgt. Pepper print.
The Nude Beatles is an original poster signed by the artist Richard Bernstein. Richard is widely known for his Interview Magazine covers. It was published in 1968 by Permild & Rosengreen in Denmark. It is a limited edition lithograph, where Bernstein superimposed the Beatles on nude male bodies in neon colors. A French judge ordered the prints to be confiscated and Apple Records sued the artist, but ultimately he prevailed. This lithograph is in its original wooden frame (some wear and tear). There is a bit of warping and fading to the poster but still very vibrant; it is in good condition with no damage, tears, etc. It measures 24.5" x 28.5" and with the frame it is 25.5" x 29.5".
eBay The Beatles 1967 Original Vintage Psychedelic Richard Avedon Posters. These are an ORIGINAL lithograph printing of the world famous portraits of The Beatles that Richard Avedon took in London, UK in 1967. My dad purchased them soon after their release to the public in 1968 when he was stationed in Texas while in the Army. I found them in their original mailing tube after he passed away. I have the individual portraits of John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. I also have the black/white group portrait famously known as the 'Mount Rushmore'.From Sotheby's: In August 1967, the American photographer Richard Avedon met with the Beatles in Thompson House, London and took a number of photographic portraits of the band. Avedon used a new solarization technique with the photographs and adorned them with psychedelic saturation effects. The were first published in January of the following year in Look Magazine in the US, and Daily Express in the UK. They were wildly popular and were subsequently sold as this poster set.The banner image nicknamed the 'Mount Rushmore' image of the Beatles was actually a collage of four separate photographs. These black and white images are some of the most recognizable portraits of the band.PLEASE NOTE: There are some tiny, minor creases mainly on Ringo (zoom into all photos) and a crinkle in the Mount Rushmore towards the bottom. My guess is by their condition that my dad never hung them up. So I think the color is very true to its original color as well. In other words, I doubt they ever saw sunshine.
A perfect piece. Excellent condition. A treasured piece, but I live in Costa Rica, and I am hesitant to take it because of the humidity and climate. It was a sad night when I heard the news he had been assassinated.
